Fun with the Dobsonians

"Its Late evening almost Eleven,

I stare out to look out at the Heavens,

Yes My Lord Patiently I have waited,

For a Glimpse of Glory you have Created,

And more I thank you for the men so wise,

Who created those marvelous tools to empower my eyes.

Over time, cultures and spread across nations,

For humanity today to glimpse your wonderful creations"

A small taught in my heart but truly I meant it. When I think of what is seen across the heavens I just remember those great men from the Ptolemy to great Indians  Aryabhatta and Bhaskara and then Mordern Astronomy with Gallelio, then Copernicus ,Newton, Kepler  and Einstein among the many who helped human kind track the heavens to watch the wonders of Gods Glory.

The telescope truly a marvel to explore jewel boxes and worlds across the sky. Coming in reflector or refractor format both may be useful to suit diverse needs. But the below telescope is one with a Difference. Used by me to capture the wonders of the universe. Read below.

A Dobsonian telescope is an altazimuth-mounted Newtonian telescope design popularized by John Dobson starting in the 1960s and credited with vastly increasing the size of telescopes available to amateur astronomers. Dobson's telescopes featured a simplified mechanical design that was easy to manufacture from readily available components to create a large, portable, low-cost telescope. The design is optimized for visually observing faint, deep-sky objects such as nebulae and galaxies. This type of observation requires a large objective diameter (i.e. light-gathering power) of relatively short focal length and portability for travel to relatively less light-polluted locations
